Dr. Nora Aba Elaziz Farag

Specialist Clinical Pathology

Dr. Nora Aba Elaziz Farag is an accomplished Clinical Pathologist with a Doctorate in Clinical Pathology from the Faculty of Medicine, Mansoura University, awarded in 2017. She also holds a Master’s degree in Clinical Pathology (2012) and a Bachelor’s degree in Medicine and Surgery with honors (2008) from the same institution.

Dr. Farag has extensive experience in teaching, research, and clinical practice. She has been an integral part of the academic staff at Mansoura University since 2013, first as a Teaching Assistant, then as a Lecturer, and later as an Assistant Professor in the Clinical Pathology department.

Dr. Nora specializes in diagnostic hematology, focusing on blood disorders, leukemia detection, and advanced techniques like flow cytometry.

Her clinical expertise extends to managing blood banks, conducting virus testing, ensuring blood compatibility, and overseeing blood and platelet dispensation for surgical operations. She has also worked in various hospital laboratories, including those handling liver transplants, liver failure cases, and bleeding and clotting disorders. Her leadership in laboratory quality management has been instrumental in achieving ISO 15189 accreditation for the Bleeding and Clotting Laboratory and securing recognition from the Egyptian Authority for Laboratory Accreditation (EGAC).

Dr. Nora has contributed significantly to infection control initiatives at Mansoura University Hospitals and has a deep understanding of quality implementation within medical laboratories. She has presented her research and expertise at numerous national and international conferences, including workshops on hematological techniques, antimicrobial resistance, and laboratory quality control. In addition, she has completed specialized training in areas such as scientific writing, leadership, and statistical analysis for research projects.
